Keenan Nasution's Side Officially Withdraws Cassation Lawsuit Against the Late Vidi Aldiano

Minola Sebayang emphasized that this step is taken sincerely and wholeheartedly by his clients, Keenan Nasution and Rudi Pekerti. "So on this morning's occasion, on behalf of our clients, Mr. Keenan Nasution and also Rudi Pekerti, we will withdraw the ongoing cassation process at the Supreme Court at this time," said Minola Sebayang when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Friday (20/03/2026).

As is known, before passing away, Vidi Aldiano was sued by Keenan Nasution regarding copyright and royalties for the song Nuansa Bening. After Vidi's death, the legal process at the cassation level normatively continued, which then created a negative perception in the community.

Minola explained that the withdrawal of the cassation is legally justified as long as the Supreme Court has not issued a ruling. His party will soon submit an official request letter for withdrawal.

"Immediately after today, we will make a letter of request to withdraw the ongoing cassation process through the Supreme Court Secretariat so that the cassation case against the deceased can be stopped," he continued.

The party of Keenan Nasution also dismissed the notion that this decision was made due to public pressure. "Do not say that this effort is a result of coercion, no. This is done sincerely and voluntarily," Minola emphasized.

With the withdrawal of this cassation, all litigation processes between Keenan Nasution and the late Vidi Aldiano regarding the song 'Nuansa Bening' are declared to be completed.

"And thus, the litigation process between our client and the deceased regarding the use of the song 'Nuansa Bening' is now declared finished," he concluded.
