Kimberly Ryder Speaks About Court Decision Regarding Edward Akbar Who Must Provide Child Support of Rp 6 Million Per Month

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Kimberly Ryder finally speaks out after the Central Jakarta Religious Court issued an official decision regarding her divorce from Edward Akbar. In the decision announced online on Friday (29/11/2024), Edward is required to provide support of Rp 6 million per month for their two children, Rayden Starlight Akbar and Aisyah Moonlight Akbar.

When met in the BSD area, Tangerang, on Saturday (30/11/2024), Kimberly admitted that she accepted the decision even though the amount was far from what she had requested in court. "I just accept it. That is actually the minimum. Thank God, but it depends on him, whether he can send that amount every month? We'll just have to see from him," she said.

During the trial process, Kimberly admitted that she worked hard to meet her children's needs without expecting much from her ex-husband. "The important thing for me is trying to work hard for the children," she asserted.

1. Last Provided Support in May

Kimberly also revealed that during the divorce process, Edward did not provide support consistently. "The last time was at the end of May, IDR 1.5 million, with a note for the children’s Quran lessons," Kimberly stated.

Nevertheless, she was reluctant to make too much of an issue out of it to avoid greater conflict. Initially, Kimberly requested a support amount of IDR 20 million per month in her divorce lawsuit.

However, the judge ultimately decided on IDR 6 million as Edward's obligation. "As usual, I have always taken care of it myself by working," she said, demonstrating her determination as a mother.

2. Children Ask About Edward

When asked if she felt hopeless about the situation, Kimberly answered firmly. "I wouldn’t say hopeless. It’s just how it is. It’s been like this for a long time. Rather than having problems, it’s just how it is," she said.

This situation not only affects Kimberly but also her two children, who still often ask about their father's whereabouts. "Sometimes they still do. So I explain to them, mama and papa need some time alone, to think, with big emotions, we can’t share right now. We need some time alone," Kimberly clarified.
