Krisdayanti Feels Lost, Celebrates Eid al-Fitr Without Raul Lemos for the First Time

Kapanlagi.com - This year's Eid feels different for Krisdayanti and her two children, Ariannha Amora Lemos and Kellen Alexander Lemos. This is because the three of them cannot gather with Raul Lemos, who is currently in Timor Leste due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nevertheless, the singer, who is familiarly called KD, still communicates with her husband through video calls. For her, this already brings happiness to be able to celebrate the holiday with her family in a simple way.

"The first agenda after prayer is a video call with daddy. Alhamdulillah, even though it's only through technological limitations, it's enough to keep our spirits growing on this holiday. We gather with our immediate and simple family, the important thing is happiness," said Krisdayanti when met at her residence in East Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Thursday (13/5).

This is also her first Eid without the presence of Raul Lemos. Certainly, the longing is deeply felt in KD's and the children's hearts, as there is a missing tradition without Raul Lemos.

"Certainly, there is something missing, especially the tradition of sungkeman. We cannot forget or replace it. After this, maybe we'll wait for Yuni, we'll perform sungkeman with Mama." Usually, after paying respects to my mother, I would then go to my husband. But now, it's enough to reconcile through technology, virtually. The children are also happy," she said.

In addition to the sungkeman tradition that is still carried out without Raul, KD also does not hold an open house as in previous years. This is because this year's Eid is still in the atmosphere of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's also difficult to have an open house because our family is very large. Alhamdulillah, my mother is the oldest sibling and elder, so the younger ones come here," she concluded.
