Lack of Confidence, Lidya Pratiwi Rejects Advertising Offers After Getting Out of Prison

Kapanlagi.com - Lidya Pratiwi, who has changed her name to Maria Eleanor, was released from prison on November 24, 2018, for the murder of her lover. Despite being free for almost 2 years, Lidya admits that she hasn't had any specific activities, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"My activities now are still the same as before, because we're currently under PSBB, I stay at home and don't have any special activities," said Maria Eleanor when met in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/9/2020).

Lidya herself has actually received offers to become a commercial star after being released from prison. However, this woman, born on January 14, 1987, still refuses to accept the offer.

"At the beginning when I just got back, there were offers for commercial products. But honestly, back then I still wasn't ready because I had just finished my time in the dormitory. So I hadn't thought about it, I didn't have the confidence to accept the offer," said Maria Eleanor.

"I don't know, it means that my environment also assures me that everything will be fine. I'm not hiding or anything, not at all, I'm just minimizing activities because I still respect the ongoing legal process yesterday," she added.

2. Starting to Open Up

It is undeniable that many are curious about the latest news about Lidya Pratiwi. Without intending to hide after her involvement in a murder case, she slowly starts to open up to the public again.

"Now I'm opening up to talk to media friends because, well, the news about me is always being sought after, and eventually they managed to find me. So, I'm willing to talk to media friends," she said.

3. Preparation to Return

When asked about her desire to return to acting in soap operas, Maria Eleanor admitted that she did not prepare anything. She did not rule out the possibility of returning to acting if she had the opportunity in the future.

"I can't answer which one I'm ready for. What I mean is whatever trust is given by friends from production houses, from anywhere, hopefully I can be ready for anything. But specifically preparing myself for specific work, I can't say," she concluded.
