Legal Counsel Asserts Arka Is Not Ridwan Kamil's Child with Anyone

The issue regarding the origins of Ananda Arka has surfaced alongside the rampant news of the divorce of Ridwan Kamil and Atalia Praratya. Several narratives on social media even link Arka to parties outside the family, which are considered misleading and unfounded.

In response to this, Ridwan Kamil's legal team provided a firm clarification. They stated that the circulating news is a hoax and does not align with the actual legal facts or family facts.

Ridwan Kamil's lawyer, Oya Abdul Malik, expressed that they felt it necessary to correct this information due to its implications for the child's interests and future. He emphasized that Arka has no connection with any public figure as claimed by netizens.

"Now, I want to clarify this. There are many questions swirling around that suggest narratives stating that this child is the result of a relationship with someone," said Oya during a press conference in the Cikini area of Central Jakarta, Wednesday (7/1/2026).

Oya then explained the background of Arka's presence in the family of Ridwan Kamil and Atalia Praratya. He mentioned that Arka was legally adopted and with full humanitarian consideration.

"This child was taken by Mr. RK and Mrs. Atalia precisely on National Children's Day, and the parents passed away due to Covid. So it stops there," he emphasized.

This explanation also refutes speculation that Arka is the child of another woman. According to Oya, there is not a single fact that supports that narrative.

"It has nothing to do with anyone. It is for Ananda Arka," continued Oya.

Meanwhile, the custody decision for Arka, which is now in the hands of Ridwan Kamil, has also gone through a mutual agreement. The child's psychological factors have become one of the main considerations in that decision.

The issue linking Arka's artwork or activities with certain figures has also been denied by the legal team. They believe that much of the information on social media is intentionally connected without basis. "Now everything can be connected. There's AI, it could be AI," said Oya.

With this clarification, Ridwan Kamil's side hopes that the public will no longer associate Arka with untrue issues. The legal team emphasizes that child protection must be a shared priority.
