Legal Counsel Fairuz A. Rafiq Questions Pablo Benua's 'Selow' Photo in the Mall

At that time, Pablo claimed that he was visiting his sick mother. But instead, the photo of him allegedly being in the mall went viral and raised suspicion.

1. Questioning the Photo

Minola Sebayang, the legal counsel for Fairuz A. Rafiq, questioned the photo. He stated that there should be an explanation as to how Pablo could be in a public place.

"When given permission to leave custody, it should be known that the people involved in the case will attract public attention. His face is recognizable, so it should have been taken into consideration and attention, and he should not have entered the public domain," he said at Minola Sebayang's law office on Friday (13/3).

"And there should be an explanation from the supervisor for this. Why was he in public places when being in a hospital or cemetery would be understandable. But if it appears that he was given permission to leave custody but was seen in a mall, then it becomes a problem. So there should be good faith from the supervising party to explain that. The fact is that the person was seen in a public place," he added.

2. Send a Letter

Minola, as the legal representative, stated that he will send a letter to the prosecutor's office and the panel of judges. It is known that at that time Pablo claimed to be visiting his seriously ill parents.

"Our plan is to deliver the letter to the prosecutor's office, the panel of judges, and the prison. But again, the bureaucratic administration they have done is already fulfilled," he said.
