“I thought my child was an artist, but as time goes by, it becomes clear that he is a businessman. I just remembered that when he was little, he would count everything. How much is this price, how much is that price, how much is the return, how much will it cost to take a taxi, dad can't do this, it will be wasteful,” said Addie MS when met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/1).

1. Renting Hats to Selling Nasi Uduk

Addie MS revealed that his eldest son had started learning business since he was still in elementary school. Starting from renting hats to his school friends to selling nasi uduk.

"In second grade of elementary school, if his uncles were tired and asked for a massage, he allowed it but with payment, 100 perak, 200 perak, it's okay, as long as they pay. Then, in fifth grade, he started renting hats, for example, if there were no hats for sports," said Addie MS.

"He sold nasi uduk in sixth grade at his school. Every time he went to school, he asked his driver to buy nasi uduk, he spent his pocket money to buy nasi uduk from a roadside stall. Some of his foreign teachers became his regular customers, when he had a break, he ate alone and people got jealous. Getting bored of eating at the canteen every day, when they saw Kevin eating nasi uduk, they asked, what is that, is it delicious? Finally, every time he returned from school, he brought home 50 thousand rupiahs, 20 thousand rupiahs, and his money always increased, it turns out his business talent came from there," he continued.

2. Support Kevin Aprilio in Music and Business

When asked whether he supports Kevin Aprilio more in music or business, Addie MS answered both. According to him, Kevin Aprilio is capable and can succeed in both fields.

"In music, he can create many hit songs. As a musician myself, I have never created a single hit song. Kevin has many hits and they are inspired by his relationships, breakups, or drama with his friends that he eavesdrops on and turns into songs. That is an extraordinary talent for me. I think, well, live there and utilize the gift from Allah," explained Addie MS.

"Apparently, he has an extraordinary business ability too. He develops his own business and can travel to Papua today, Manado tomorrow, constantly traveling, and now he has reached a level of success. So, it's both music and business," he concluded.
