Like Watching Drakor with Husband, Mona Ratuliu Was Protested by Children

Kapanlagi.com - Because of the corona virus pandemic, everyone can only stay at home. That's what artist Mona Ratuliu did, who admitted to being addicted to watching Korean dramas while at home.

"Actually, I never watched drakor before, only during this corona. So I didn't know that Korea would tell all the stories, every drama I watched was different. The story in Indonesia has the same pattern, only the atmosphere or setting is different, or the roles," said Mona Ratuliu when contacted by Kapanlagi.com recently.

"I am happy to see their wealth of stories and how they handle the drama so that the scenes are very dramatic. We can really feel it but the scenes are not exaggerated, the music and everything really influence the viewers to be emotional," she continued.

1. Invite Husband to Watch Together

Not only alone, Mona Ratuliu apparently always invites her husband Indra Brasco to watch together. They both admit to being amazed by the excellent Korean drama production.

"Yes, we watch it together, my husband is also amazed because he just found out that the Korean drama is like that. We usually watch Indonesian or English shows. Suddenly (watching) Korea, honestly it's never happened before, the language and culture are still adapting at first it felt strange. I told my husband that the story and production are really good," said Mona Ratuliu who is currently pregnant with their fourth child.

2. Protested by Children

Because she often watches Korean dramas, Mona Ratuliu even received protests from her children. This is because her children prefer to talk to their parents to spend time together.

"My kids were the ones who protested. Because my kids like to play with us, after online school they like to chat with us. When we were watching Korean dramas, they protested because we watched Crash Landing On You for a long time, one episode is one and a half hours and there are 16 episodes. If we stop, we'll be curious," she said.

3. Watching While the Child is Sleeping

Because they were protested, finally both of them watched after their children had slept. Mona said this to avoid her children's protests.

"Finally now we watch it quietly when (the child) is already asleep. If not, they protest and the parents watch the drama in the room," concluded Mona Ratuliu.
