UN1TY, which is an Indonesian Pop boyband and a pride of Indonesia, has been appointed as the newest brand ambassador of Smartfren. In relation to that, this boyband consisting of Fenly, Farhan, Shandy, Fiki, Fajri, Gilang, Ricky, and Zweitson also enlivened the Smartfren WOW Talks with UN1TY special #NoDramaNoRibet event on Thursday (13/01/2022). The Youn1t members were treated to various fun activities presented by UN1TY throughout the event, including game sessions.
Ricky also made Youn1t blush with his flirtation, "Youn1t, do you know? My love for you is like Smartfren, always unlimited."
Behind the fun of the event, of course, the reason behind UN1TY being chosen as Smartfren's brand ambassador also piques curiosity.
Smartfren and UN1TY share the same ambition to advance Indonesian music and, of course, to make local boy bands more accepted by Indonesian society.
"So the reason Smartfren partnered with UN1TY is because we see young people who are in line with our mission. We see that UN1TY is truly local, Indonesian Pop," said Roberto Saputra, Chief Brand Officer of Smartfren, when met at SCTV Tower, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (13/1).
"This is in line with Smartfren, which is indeed a local brand to develop local talents through the internet," he added.
On the other hand, UN1TY itself admitted to feeling happy to be chosen as Smartfren's brand ambassador and hoped to be an inspiration for young people.
"We see Smartfren as a brand that is very close to its customers and young people. We also feel that Smartfren has the same spirit and creative music. There are even many initiatives to support the creative industry of the homeland. So, of course, we are very happy to finally become a brand ambassador," said Fenly.
"Prayer is that hopefully we can work together and inspire our friends, especially young people who are still struggling to create and we can be an inspiration for them and ultimately they can inspire the next generation," he added.
