The office building of the Deputy Governor of East Java was burned during a mass action that took place on Saturday, (30/8) last week. After the incident, East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak visited his office.

Accompanied by several people, the husband of artist Arumi Bachsin looked sad seeing his workplace reduced to ashes. The moment was captured by Emil and uploaded to his personal Instagram account on Monday, (1/9).

Emil Dardak visited his workspace located in the wing of the Grahadi building that burned down on Saturday, (30/8) last week. He looked sad seeing the debris of the charred building.

"The west side of Grahadi, which is close to the road, was affected by this concerning incident, and its condition has been burned.In this place, there are several working units of the provincial government including our task room and the media personnel's workspace," Emil wrote in his Instagram post on Monday, (1/9).

Emil showed some sides of the building that had turned to charcoal. He lamented the burning of his workspace which was close to the media room in Grahadi.

"Here is where various coordination, policy formulation, and public services, including the presence of various community elements and partner institutions, have been carried out all this time," Emil wrote.

Emil stated that he will continue to be committed to serving the community. He also regrets the damage to public facilities and hopes this will be the last time."We are even more concerned about the destruction of facilities that are directly used by the community, such as public spaces, as well as the museum collection in Kediri that was looted," he continued.

Emil also requested prayers so that after this moment, he and the East Java Provincial Government can conduct deep introspection. "Please allow us your blessings in prayer, and that after this moment, with the spirit of introspection, we, all public servants, will be able to work better in the future," he emphasized.
