After an investigation by the authorities, Tamara Tyasmara is grateful that the Jakarta Metro Police have arrested and named her boyfriend, Yudha Arfandi alias YA, as a suspect in Dante's death in the swimming pool.
"Alhamdulillah, the perpetrator has been captured," said Tamara Tyasmara while crying, when met at the Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (9/2/2024).
Tamara Tyasmara admits she never expected YA to be the person suspected of causing Dante's death. Moreover, during their two-year relationship, Tamara claims she never had any suspicions that YA would do such a thing. "No one could have imagined. I know now," said Tamara Tyasmara.
In that opportunity, Tamara also saw CCTV footage of Dante drowning in the swimming pool. "Yes, everyone saw it, so we all saw the CCTV footage. Thank God the perpetrator has been caught," said Tamara.
All this time, Tamara has not responded to people's criticisms. But she ensures that she will not stay silent, because this case involves the life of her beloved son.
"Until yesterday, I stayed silent, I didn't do anything, everyone said I was silent, but now. If I stay silent, what will I do on Thursday (1/2/2024) when I come here (to the police station)," she said. "I can't possibly be so heartless, just staying silent. My child died, not in a coma, not disabled, not just sick," added Tamara.
Tamara said, her reluctance to comment yesterday was actually to respect the process of investigation conducted by the police. "So it's impossible for a mother to stay silent when her child is violated. So please understand that. I'm not trying to cover up, I just want this process to run smoothly without me talking too much," she said.
Today, Tamara Tyasmara visited the Metro Jaya Police to undergo additional questioning. On that occasion, Tamara also submitted additional evidence to the police regarding this case.
"Today our client underwent additional questioning, and also submitted additional evidence, today we provided a book on the deceased's health," said Sandy Arifin, Tamara Tyasmara's legal counsel.
"There is also evidence that we have completed, including a letter of request from our client on Thursday, 1st. Basically, asking for the case to be transferred to the Metro Police," concluded Sandy Arifin.
