Maia Estianty Will Soon Have a Granddaughter, Can't Wait to Dress Up Al Ghazali-Alyssa Daguise's Child

"Happy, because I will finally have a granddaughter. God willing, just pray for us, hopefully we will get a granddaughter. This is my first experience because I have never had a baby girl before," said Maia Estianty when met in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, on Sunday (21/12/2025).

Maia's enthusiasm doesn't stop there. She admitted that she is very eager to welcome her grandchild into the world. One of the things that excites her the most is imagining the moment when she can buy various beautiful supplies and dress her granddaughter in various cute styles. "Yes, I can't wait to dress her up," she said.

Although she hasn't started buying supplies or small items for the baby, Maia revealed that major preparations have already been made. One of the main preparations is the provision of a special room for her granddaughter so that she can rest comfortably when visiting her grandmother's house.

In addition, Maia also pays attention to the changes in her daughter-in-law, Alyssa Daguise, during her pregnancy. According to Maia's observations, Alyssa has become a much more sensitive and emotional person. "Alyssa is more touchy, I guess, she cries more easily because of pregnancy hormones. That's why (Al) has to be patient," said the wife of Irwan Mussry.

Interestingly, Maia also tried to guess the gender of her grandchild before the official results came out. At first, she was very sure that the baby was a girl, but then she had doubts because she saw the shape of Alyssa's belly resembling the signs of carrying a boy. Fortunately, her initial guess turned out to be correct, which added to her happiness.

Another thing that caught the public's attention is the titles that will be used for Maia and Irwan Mussry in the future. While Maia chose a modern title, Irwan Mussry has a rather unique and amusing nickname. "(The nickname is) Grandma. As for Daddy... 'O-Daddy'. Just remember Odading," she joked while laughing.

As a parent with more experience, Maia does not forget to give advice to Al Ghazali and Alyssa Daguise. She hopes this young couple can become resilient parents and have extra patience in raising their first child later. "Be strong. Masyaallah. Be strong in raising a child, be patient," she concluded.
