In this film, the 35-year-old actress plays the role of Dina, a woman who used to be a flight attendant and gets involved in the dark world of illegal online lending companies.

Apparently, the character of Dina has been one of the most awaited roles throughout her acting career. She mentioned this when visiting the KLY office in Central Jakarta, Monday (14/8/2023).

"I have always been a fan of thriller films. The first film that stuck in my mind, the one I watched, was a thriller film, so I have been waiting for a long time," said Laura Basuki.

"Because previously, I often played in dramas, biopics that had a very low-key impression, but here I can explore feelings that I have never experienced before in films," she added.

Although the character Dina has been one of the desired roles for a long time, she admitted that she had to do a lot of research to perform at her best. Moreover, the character Dina has many emotions that cannot be expressed explicitly.

"This is one of the most complicated characters I have ever worked on," she said.

In the movie SLEEP CALL, Laura Basuki plays the character Dina, who is a central figure in the story.

In short, Dina is someone who is forced to work as an employee in an illegal online loan company due to various reasons.

Amidst the challenging situation, Dina finds happiness after meeting Rama (Bio One) on a dating app. Unexpected things start to happen from there.

"Since then, one terror after another has emerged and the thriller is there," concluded Laura Basuki.
