The suspect Nanang Gimbal, the perpetrator of the murder of actor Sandy Permana, was found to have used a knife that he kept in his chicken coop as a weapon in the brutal act.

Commissary Wira explained that the knife was a common tool found in a chicken coop, not a tool that was deliberately prepared to commit a crime.

Regarding the knife used in the murder, Commissary Wira stated that the knife was an everyday tool typically kept in the suspect's chicken coop.

"This knife was indeed in the chicken coop and is a common tool placed in the chicken coop, so it remains there," he said.

Nanang's escape, which extended to the Karawang area, was eventually stopped by the Metro Jaya Police's Resmob team.

In his escape, the suspect had no specific destination and just wanted to distance himself from the scene to calm down.

"He fled randomly while calming himself during the escape," said Kompol Resa.

Kompol Resa also explained that the suspect cut off communication with his family to avoid detection by the police.

This step made the effort to track Nanang more difficult at the beginning of the search.
