Mandra Opens Betawi Restaurant, Wife and Children Help Cook

Kapanlagi.com - For the past month, comedian Mandra has been focusing on culinary business by opening a Betawi cuisine restaurant called 'Dapur Ngacir' with his family. The restaurant is built in the front yard of his private home located in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java, on Monday (12/6).

"It's only been about a month since we opened. Basically, indirectly, it's to educate my child, meaning to make him have a step towards the future. At first, personally, I wasn't very confident because everyone always comments on opening a restaurant when talking about food," said Mandra when met at 'Dapur Ngacir' some time ago.

1. Wife and Children Help Cook

In addition to wanting to educate his children about business, Mandra opened a restaurant because he wanted to fulfill his wife's wish. His wife and children love to cook.

"Because it happens that my child loves to cook, my wife also loves to cook. Yes, she (wife) cooks directly, who else would I leave it to, while my wife knows the taste and menu herself," said the actor of SI DOEL ANAK SEKOLAHAN.

2. Family Business

Not only helping with cooking, some of Mandra's children also work as cashiers. Because this is a family business, most of the people who work in the food stall are Mandra's extended family members and some neighbors around.

"Yes, my children help out as cashiers, some of my nephews and grandchildren help out as waiters. It can be said that it's a family business with some neighbors around, but what we prioritize are the children and nephews who have the willingness to directly participate," he concluded.
