Manohara Claims to Have Quit a Career in Entertainment, Now Active in Environmental and Animal Social Activities

Yes, this 28-year-old woman did make a scene due to news about her experiencing domestic violence from her husband, a Malaysian nobleman, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra. Now Manohara claims to have quit a career in the local entertainment industry since 2013.

After being unseen for a long time, when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta recently after being a guest star on a TV program, Manohara talked about her current busyness. This American-Indonesian mixed-blood model is now busy pursuing a career as a publisher and actively involved in social activities.

"I've been working at a publishing company for about six years now. Maybe I'll just stick to that. As for animals and the environment, yes, but that's not work. It's more like volunteering for several organizations," said Manohara.

1. Explain Choosing Wildlife and Environmental Volunteers

In addition, Manohara also explained his reasons for choosing to become a wildlife and environmental volunteer. According to him, it is in line with his passion and abilities.

"Because it is my passion and I feel that I have the ability and platform to help there, why not," he said.

"I feel that in Indonesia, awareness of protecting the environment is still very lacking and I feel that protected animals, which are endemic to Indonesia, are part of Indonesia that we should protect, just like our arts and others. We must protect them and not let them disappear," he continued.

2. Feeling Comfortable in Both Fields

However, he admitted that he actually feels comfortable in both very different fields. But, for now, Manohara chooses to focus on his current job.

"Both are comfortable. Although they are very different, in terms of comfort, they are comfortable. Yes, that's right, I want to focus first," he concluded.
