Mark Sungkar Refuses to Accept Corruption Charges

Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the alleged corruption or embezzlement of funds for the national training program Trialthon, which caused state losses of Rp 649.9 million, with the defendant being artist Mark Sungkar was held at the Corruption Court in Central Jakarta. Zaskia Sungkar's father does not accept the accusations against him.

Ayah dari artis Shireen Sungkar itu diduga telah melakukan korupsi saat menjabat Ketua Umum Pengurus Pusat Federasi Triathlon Indonesia (PPFTI). Dia didakwa membuat laporan fiktif terkait belanja kegiatan dana pelatnas Asian Games 2018.

"I want to know why FTI is always criminalized. Why did it take from March to August for the MOU to come out during the match, that's what I want to know? Who is the mastermind?" said Mark Sungkar.

2. Tak Puas

In the trial, Mark Sungkar feels dissatisfied with the witnesses presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU). Unfortunately, he can only listen without being able to directly refute the testimony given.

"We should be able to have a good back-and-forth. If we play ping pong and one person stays silent, they won't get a score," he concluded.

In this case, Mark Sungkar is accused of violating Article 2 Paragraph (1) Jo Article 18 Paragraph (1) letter b of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption as an alternative to Article 3 Jo Article 18 Paragraph (1) letter b of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption, and as a further alternative to Article 9 Jo Article 18 Paragraph (1) letter b of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption.
