Marlina Octaria Unhappy with Being Divorced through a Letter by Taqy Malik's Father

Kapanlagi.com - Marlina Octaria Kawurung expressed her frustration with her father Taqy Malik, Mansyardin Malik. This time, Marlina is not questioning their sexual relationship, but rather the way Mansyardin Malik divorced her.

Marlina Octaria revealed that Mansyardin divorced her through a letter sent via a courier service.

"This is the (divorce statement) letter from him (Mansyardin Malik). He sent it in a package," said Marlina while showing the divorce statement letter from Mansyardin at Senayan City, Jakarta, on Friday (24/9/2021).

According to Marlina, even though they were only married religiously, divorcing through a letter is very inappropriate. Marlina said that Mansyardin should divorce her in a good way, just like when he married her.

"He married me, met my family nicely, so he should do the same now (for the divorce). Even though I don't have parents anymore, I have siblings. When we got married, he talked to the family, so why is it like this now?" Marlina said.

Marlina's lawyer, Krisna Murti, also said the same thing. Divorce should be spoken, not written.

"It's called divorce, it should be through speech, not a letter," Krisna Murti said in the same place.

2. Divorce Letter in the Form of a Photocopy

Krisna Murti also criticized Mansardin by questioning the authenticity of the letter. Because the letter was sent through a delivery package and in the form of a photocopy.

"The person who made that statement should have the original. He should have the archive. This becomes a question for us, whether this letter is genuine from MM or not? If it is delegated to someone related to MM, maybe the letter can be confirmed from MM," Krisna said.

In addition to questioning the divorce letter from Mansyardin, Marlina also denied Mansyardin's statement that he had verbally divorced her on September 6, 2021.

According to Marlina, she did meet Mansyardin on that date. However, there was no word of divorce coming from Mansyardin.

"We met on September 6, and there I asked for a divorce, but he refused. He said it's because there were no witnesses. But there was my child and my housemaid there. So there was no declaration at that time," Marlina said.
