"For the concept, the important thing is simplicity, but still pleasant to look at. There's no traditional customs because I've never wanted a complicated wedding. It's not that I don't want to follow cultural traditions, I just don't want the hassle and headache of wearing a hair bun again," Angelica said with a smile during a press conference session via Zoom.

2. Meaning of 20 Gram Diamond

During the marriage vows, it was revealed that the dowry consisted of a set of prayer tools and a 20-gram diamond. The deliberate choice of the diamond weight apparently matched the beautiful date and year.

"We adjusted the date and year. It's perfect, the date is on the 20th, the year is 2020, so there you go," said the actor from the movie Bajaj Bajuri The Movie.

The process of Angelica Simperler's introduction to Rico Hidros Daeng and their marriage took only a few months. So, what made Angelica confident in marrying her late ex-husband, Saphira Indah?

"What made me confident is that it comes from the heart. Actually, from the beginning when we met, we prayed and asked for guidance from Allah, and naturally, that confidence arose. Each of us also has the same goals and hopes," said the 33-year-old woman.

Rico Hidros Daeng is not a stranger in the entertainment industry of the homeland. Previously, he was married to the actress Saphira Indah who passed away in early 2019 while six months pregnant due to lung disease.

The introduction process between Angelica and Ai itself did not take too long. However, because they have a common vision, both of them are determined to build a household together.
