Kapanlagi.com - The absence of Marshal Rachman from every stage performance of Ada Band over the past few months has sparked speculation among fans. Many suspect that the guitarist has left the band.
In relation to this, vocalist Naga finally spoke out about the actual condition. It turns out that Marshal is currently suffering from kidney disease.
"Actually, it might have been a while, but it started to be detected in January 2024 that there was a problem with his kidneys. His kidney function has drastically decreased," Naga revealed when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (16/10/2024).
According to Naga, Marshal has undergone various examinations since the beginning of the year. However, his condition has worsened to the point that in June or July 2024 he will have to undergo dialysis procedure.
"He has been to various places, to specialists, check-ups here and there, until finally in June or July dialysis," added Naga.
The decision to undergo dialysis means Marshal has to face the reality of not being able to perform with Ada Band for a long time. However, the personnel support their friend's recovery.
"With all the risks, if he undergoes dialysis he definitely can't perform with us. In the end, it has to be like that, he just has to go through it,” said Naga.
Naga acknowledged that Marshal's absence for the past six months has triggered many questions from fans. However, the band did not immediately disclose the details of Marshal's health condition.
"We just said he is sick, so he can't perform with us. Many asked, thinking that Marshal left, but in fact, he is really sick," explained Naga.
Currently, Marshal is undergoing outpatient care and therapy regularly. He is required to undergo dialysis twice a week, in addition to receiving daily infusion therapy to support his recovery.
"It's just that, in one week, dialysis is done twice. Then there's infusion therapy as well, which must be done every day," said Naga.
Despite some concerns, Naga assures that Marshal is not leaving Ada Band. He and all the members hope that the guitarist will recover soon and can return to his position on stage.
"We hope that Mas Marshal can get well soon. All the band members and fans are definitely looking forward to his presence," concluded Naga.
