Maudy Koesnaedi Surprises Her Mother's Foster Children Reunion, Turns Out She Has Provided Assistance for Decades

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Maudy Koesnaedi surprised the participants of her late mother's foster children reunion in Kediri, East Java. The arrival of the actress who played Zaenab in the TV series Si Doel Anak Sekolahan briefly brought a lively atmosphere to the mosque where the meeting was held.

"Aa and Cece, Dedek is already in the mosque where Mama used to help, here," said Maudy, apparently informing her relatives in Jakarta.

Maudy, who was wearing Muslim attire and a red hijab, along with jeans, appeared to be overcome with emotion and wiped away tears. She could not hide her emotions as she remembered her late parents.

"Incidentally, it was Mama's birthday yesterday, and thank God we could hold an event like this," she said.

Maudy came to Kediri on Thursday (12/5) to meet the children who received assistance from her late mother, Sondari Soemijati. The event location was a three-hour drive from Surabaya.

"Alhamdulillah, now I can meet them in person. I have only seen them in photos and was told that there was an event here," she said to the children.

2. Has Been Going on for Decades

The distribution of assistance has been going on for decades and continues to this day. The number of recipients has reached hundreds of children. However, Sondari herself had not had the chance to visit the location before she passed away on May 11, 2015.

Some of the recipients have had children of their own, who were also present at the event. The joy could not be hidden as all the participants and the local community had the opportunity to take photos together.

"I am from the early batch, I once met Sondari in Malang, we rode the bus together. Maudy was still single at that time," said Uci Rahmawati, who has been blessed with two children.

3. Enjoying the Moment of Gathering

For about two hours, Maudy had a chat with the children she supports. The event was also attended by local community figures who solemnly read the yasin and tahlil for her late parents.
