Meggy Wulandari Hopes Her Divorce Process with Kiwil Will Be Over Soon

Kapanlagi.com - After being delayed for about 2 months during the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), Meggy Wulandari resumed the continuation of her divorce lawsuit against comedian Kiwil at the Cibinong Religious Court, Bogor, on Monday (29/6).

Today's hearing was once again not attended by Kiwil. Meggy Wulandari said that her divorce trial had a little problem because her divorce lawsuit for Kiwil had not reached the correct address.

"It went well, although it was a bit crowded at the beginning because the letter didn't reach Mas Kiwil's address, only the neighborhood. So I only knew it by sharing location and certain references, but I didn't know the RT (residential group), district, and neighborhood," said Meggy Wulandari after the hearing.

"So here, it's an amicable divorce, I just really don't know Kiwil and Rohimah's address because I really don't want to interfere in their marriage," she continued.

1. Hopefully the Divorce Process Will Be Quickly Resolved

Kiwil's absence in the trial is actually not a problem for Meggy Wulandari because that way her divorce process will be quickly decided by default.

"Finally, God willing, it will be quick and hopefully by default, that's our hope. Three times not showing up is considered default," said Soraya, Meggy Wulandari's legal counsel.

"Hopefully, by July 13th, it can be resolved. Actually, whether he comes or not doesn't matter, if he comes, Alhamdulillah," added Meggy Wulandari.

2. Agreeing to Live Separately

In addition, both parties have also agreed to live separately. Meggy even mentioned that she is actually legally divorced according to religious law.

"Because I have calculated. I apologize if I'm not mistaken, according to my religion, I am already divorced because it has been three months and Mas Kiwil has made a statement through WhatsApp that he agrees for us to live separately according to what we choose," she explained.

3. Not Demanding Equal Distribution of Wealth

In this trial, Meggy Wulandari also does not demand equal distribution of wealth and only requests child support for her three children.

"Nothing else is demanded except for the obligation, because whatever it is, Kiwil has an obligation towards the children, that's what should be noted. There is nothing else, because there is indeed no equal distribution of wealth. The amount will only be explained in the trial, not in public," Soraya concluded.
