Midnight Shortness of Breath, Diding Boneng Rushed to the Hospital Before Sahur

Unpleasant news comes from senior comedian Zainal Abidin Zetta, better known as Diding Boneng. The actor, who is synonymous with his iconic roles in Warkop DKI films, has to undergo intensive care in the hospital due to a sudden asthma attack.

The actor's health condition deteriorated drastically at night, specifically three days ago. The attack occurred very quickly, making it difficult for him to breathe and requiring immediate medical assistance.

"Oh. I do have asthma, according to the doctor. Then, three days ago, three nights... at night, the asthma came. That illness," said Diding Boneng in a hoarse voice when met at Radjak Hospital, Salemba, Central Jakarta, Friday (20/2/2026).

Diding Boneng does have a history of asthma. However, this attack was quite severe compared to usual. A dramatic moment occurred when he was at home and suddenly felt that the oxygen supply to his lungs had stopped.

"The current condition is definitely better than when I was first brought here. However, it may not... it may not be completely perfect or completely good yet. I just changed my IV," he explained.

Boneng resigned to follow all the medical procedures recommended by the medical team for his recovery. He estimated that he still needed to stay in the hospital for a few more days until his condition was truly stable.

"This means there are still a few more days to get better. I don’t understand, I just follow the wishes (of the medical procedures)," he concluded.
