Mikko Reveals that the Song 'Keke Bukan Boneka' Was Not Made by Herself, Turns Out Kekeyi Doesn't Know the Lyrics

It started with the confession of the man who is familiarly called Mikko on social media about the low payment he received and the team to work on the music video for Keke Bukan Boneka, he finally revealed the facts behind the making of the controversial song.

When contacted by KapanLagi.com, Mikko revealed some facts that contradicted Kekeyi's previous statement in a virtual interview with Anji. According to Mikko's confession, Kekeyi actually knows about the song Aku Bukan Boneka popularized by Rinni Wulandari.

"How is it, if she herself made/wrote it then she would definitely know the lyrics, we can think like that. I don't dare to claim that I am the song's creator, the point is I know because me and my friends just gave a little input and helped with the making of the music video. So when the song was still titled 'Aku Bukan Boneka', she said don't make it the same as others because it already exists, so it was changed to 'Keke Bukan Boneka'," said Mohamad Cahyo Jatmiko (Mikko) when contacted by KapanLagi.com via phone call, Wednesday (3/6).

1. Music Lessons but Can't

Mikko revealed that the release of the song Keke Bukan Boneka (Keke is not a doll) began from his music lessons routine. At that time, Kekeyi, who often accompanied Mikko to the music studio, asked to be taught how to play the guitar.

"So why did she end up releasing that song? Because she often accompanied me (Mikko) to music lessons, she asked Mikko to teach her how to play the guitar. Then she was invited to take a course, until more than a month passed and she still didn't understand even one chord, she became frustrated and gave up because she couldn't do it at all," he continued.

2. Suggesting Venturing into the World of Singing

Apparently, the suggestion for Kekeyi to venture into the world of singing came from Mikko. This 16-year-old boy believes that singing is a positive thing that can attract public attention after failing to learn to play a musical instrument.

"After that, she was asked what other content she should create, and then I suggested making something positive like singing, and I said people would surely be curious about what her voice sounds like, and finally she agreed," Mikko said.

3. Difficult to Memorize Lyrics

Before entering the recording studio, Mikko revealed that Kekeyi had taken vocal lessons to sharpen her skills. However, Mikko felt that the vocal lessons were not much different from Kekeyi's previous music lessons and continued until the slow recording process.

"Then she asked me to record but with vocal lessons first, but still couldn't. And finally, when entering the song recording process, it took a long time because she recorded the song word by word. It took a long time just to record the song. Let alone recording, even memorizing the song from the middle of fasting until almost the end of fasting, she couldn't memorize it all. Especially when the music was added, she was confused about how to sing it. She didn't know the melody, didn't know the tempo," Mikko concluded.
