Missing Filming, Tengku Dewi Admits to Feeling Mixed Emotions After 8 Months Moving to Bali

Tengku Dewi's decision to settle in Bali for the past eight months has brought mixed feelings. Although enjoying a better quality of life, the 37-year-old actress admitted to feeling confused when returning to Jakarta for work.

The atmosphere and routine of the entertainment world that she has long been involved in has left a deep longing. She expressed this when met in the Mampang area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (19/8/2025), amidst her busy schedule returning to the filming world. "Honestly, when I came back here, I felt a bit confused," Tengku Dewi revealed.

He recounts that after getting used to the calm rhythm of life on the Island of the Gods for quite some time, returning to Jakarta seemed to remind him of his identity and career that indeed centers in the capital.

"Like, oh I miss it, I was in Bali for a long time, it was 8 months, coming back here, 'Oh right, I really am from here,' you know. It's like going back to this shooting routine, I miss it too," he added.

He admitted that there is a significant difference between Jakarta and Bali. Jakarta is the center for earning income from the entertainment world, while Bali he feels is a place for mental healing and better child development because it is close to nature.

"If I'm in Jakarta, it's for work, like now I'm coming back here," she explained.

Facing this dilemma, the mother of two does not have a definite plan yet. For now, she is considering living back and forth between Jakarta and Bali to balance her career and family.

"I just haven't thought about it yet, maybe I'll go back and forth for now," she said.

Although she realizes that this lifestyle will incur higher costs, she feels it is the best solution for now. For her, both work and family are priorities that must go hand in hand.

"Although for example the cost will definitely be higher, but it seems like for now that is the one we will go with first," concluded Tengku Dewi.
