The passing of Mpok Alpa leaves deep sorrow, but the love of family continues to flow through prayers. Coinciding with March, which is also the birth month of the late Mpok Alpa, Aji Darmaji invites his children to visit the grave. This moment is used by Aji to give the "best gift" for his wife.

This pilgrimage activity is carried out just before entering the month of Ramadan as a form of respect and longing. Aji feels that prayer is the most beautiful gift that the family can currently give to the late Mpok Alpa.

"One day before fasting, we visited the grave of the deceased, like that," said Aji Darmaji when met at Warung Buncit, South Jakarta, Tuesday (17/3/2026).

"And then when the deceased also happened to have a birthday yesterday, March 12, we prayed at her grave. Like that. So the gift is just prayers for the deceased," he continued.

This plan to visit the grave will also be done again during the upcoming Idul Fitri holiday. If usually they visit the grave of the deceased's parents first, this time Aji decided to go straight to Mpok Alpa's grave right after the Id prayer is finished.

"This year I will go straight to the grave of the deceased, yes. Because I am bringing the children, first to the grave of the deceased. Because anyway, I want to introduce them, 'Hey, let's pray for Mama, Mami first,' like that," he said.

The tradition of asking for forgiveness at home will still be carried out in a familial manner, but visiting the gravesite has become Aji's top priority this year.

He wants his children to still feel close to their mother even though she is in a different realm.

"So after the Ied prayer, we ask for forgiveness at home, and I immediately rush to the grave of the deceased with the children," explained Aji Darmaji.
