Mpok Alpa's Child Who Is Still Underage Can Have a Guardian, While the Adult Does Not

The South Jakarta Religious Court not only determined the heirs of the late Mpok Alpa, but also touched on the issue of child guardianship. As is known, of Mpok Alpa's four children, three of them are still classified as underage, while one daughter has reached adulthood.

The spokesperson for the South Jakarta Religious Court, Dede Rika Nurhasanah, explained that for the three underage boys, the guardianship rights fall to their father, Aji Darmaji. This is in accordance with the request submitted earlier.

"Well, the guardianship has already been established. So, I was appointed as the guardian for those three children. The three boys are MAD, RAD, and RAD," he said when met at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Thursday (5/2/2026).

Dede Rika added that for Mpok Alpa's daughter with the initial S, she is not included in the guardianship determination. This is because her age is already considered legal adulthood, so she no longer requires a guardian to act on her behalf.

"What about the other one, the girl? The girl is probably already an adult, which is why she was not appointed a guardian. She is not included in the guardianship," explained Dede Rika.

Nevertheless, the status of the daughter as an heir remains valid and unchanged. She, along with her father and her three siblings, retains the right to their late mother's inheritance.

"But is there an inheritance in the wealth? If there is in the determination of heirs. He as the heir. But in the guardianship, there is none for this daughter. That means she is already an adult," he continued.

The process of determining this guardianship was actually decided earlier, namely in September of the previous year. Aji Darmaji, who in the application used the initials DD alias Dedi Darmadi, has officially been appointed as the legal guardian for his three sons.

"If the guardianship has been terminated for a long time. The guardianship was terminated on September 26, 2025. That was the guardianship submitted by Dede. For his three children, it has been granted, it has been decided," Dede Rika concluded explaining the chronology of the guardianship decision.
