Nana Mirdad and Andrew White recently were known to be carving romantic moments together in New Zealand to celebrate their wedding anniversary on May 13, 2024. However, who would have thought that they received a gift from the universe to see the beauty of Aurora Australis only from a small cabin. Let's take a look at their excitement below!
Nana Mirdad and her husband once visited Waitomo Glowworm Cave, where there are Glowworms (Arachnocampa Luminosa) that emit very bright light underground. Unfortunately, they did not get a photo of the Glowworms due to the cave's extremely dark conditions.
In Waikite Valley, they only stayed in a small cabin on top of the mountain. However, it was fortunate for both of them because the village in Lake Rotorua became the docking place of the most beautiful Aurora Australis for four hours.
Nana and Andrew admitted that they did not expect to see the rare red Aurora's beauty. Nana wrote in her Instagram caption, "Didn't expect to be given the most beautiful anniversary gift from God. Can't say anything, just crying. Everything is beautiful in its time. Nothing is a coincidence."
Nana revealed that the night sky produced a combination of colors that were very pleasing to the eye, namely green, pink, white, red, and purple. Seeing the Aurora was also one of Nana's dreams since December 2023.
The next day, Nana and Andrew prepared to enjoy the autumn season with temperatures reaching -2 degrees. The husband also enjoyed the warmth of the sun while reading a book.
Before heading to Redwood Forest, they both independently prepared sandwiches for lunch. Oh, this old couple is still very romantic, KLovers!
Nana also mentioned that when she and her husband are on vacation, they always look for a place to stay far from the city and tourist spots. It takes them a maximum of 40 minutes from their small cabin to reach the city.
She also felt the coolness of Redwood Forest while writing a message, "Here, trees are preserved. Come on, Bali... Don't cut down all the trees for development,"
