Nanakoot's Portrait: Clarification on the Review of Pinkan Mambo's Donuts, No Intent to Undermine the Business

The name of food vlogger and food reviewer Nanakoot has recently come into the spotlight. This is after he provided a review for Pinkan Mambo's donuts, which cost Rp 200 thousand for one box. Some netizens claimed that Nanakoot was undermining Pinkan's business.

Nanakoot also provided clarification when he appeared on the podcast Melaney Ricardo. Here is his statement, and check out other news at Liputan6.com!

Nanakoot admitted that she reviewed Pinkan Mambo's donuts at the request of her followers. Personally, she wouldn't buy them if not many of her social media followers requested it. Nana also ordered the donuts not under her name because she wanted to do an honest review.

First, Nana pointed out the name of the food, which she thinks is not a donut but more like fried bread or more like oliebollen (Dutch donuts). It is not like the donuts we know sold in Indonesia, whether branded or homemade. If it had been called fried bread or oliebollen from the start, maybe Nana would have had different expectations.

Regarding the taste, Nana said she has no problem because everyone surely has different preferences. She also mentioned that the toppings are good, not too sweet, and the chocolate has a salty taste.

But indeed, what caught Nana's attention the most was the packaging. When it arrived, it was all greasy and she was worried it wasn't food grade. "Because it's food. That box (if it's good), you appreciate your buyer who has spent money to buy the donuts."

Then for the inside, the donuts in one box, which contains 12, were stacked and separated by themselves. Each separator used tape and it wasn't neat. And Nanakoot admitted she has never bought donuts packaged like that. One box of donuts costs Rp 200 thousand and without hesitation, Nana said that it was too expensive or overpriced.

Nana said that Pinkan did not try to contact to complain at all. But Nana knows that Pinkan said on TV, the donuts haven't launched and aren't ready yet. Nana also commented on why on Pinkan's IG there is a post about pre-order donuts with a WhatsApp number. Nana hopes that if they really haven't launched yet, then don't sell them first, especially if it's still trial and error.

Regarding the people who say she is bringing down Pinkan's business, Nana does not feel that way. For her, bringing someone down and giving advice are different. Even so, Nana does not intend to apologize, especially since Pinkan has been loud and called this single mother tacky. Nana has already said that she would review as softly as possible.

Nana emphasizes that she has no intention of bringing anyone down, especially since she knows Pinkan's story of working hard for her children. As a fellow woman, Nana wants Pinkan's business to thrive by giving constructive advice. What do you think, KLovers? Don't forget to check out other news on KapanLagi, if not now, when else!
