Narji Remembers the Cheerful Figure of Mpok Alpa: Didn't Expect Her to Leave So Soon

Kapanlagi.com - Sad news envelops the entertainment stage in the country. Comedian Nina Carolina, or more commonly known as Mpok Alpa, passed away on Friday (15/8/2025) after several years of battling the cancer she suffered from.

A poignant atmosphere was felt at the late woman's residence in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, which was filled with family and fellow artists, including comedian Narji who came with his wife, Widiyanti.

As a friend, Narji has his own memories of Mpok Alpa, whom he knew as a cheerful person. The man, who also works as a comedian, did not expect that behind her laughter, Mpok Alpa was hiding a heavy struggle against her illness alone.

"When she was pregnant, we even kept in touch, 'Mpok, how are you? Is everything okay?' She replied, 'Everything is fine, bro.' She was the type of person who is a comedian, if she likes something, she shows it, but if the news is not good, she keeps it to herself. That's Mpok Alpa's personality, and I never expected she would leave so soon," Narji said at the wake on Friday (15/8/2025).

Narji also expressed his admiration for the late woman's fighting spirit, who remained professional at work despite being ill. For him, Mpok Alpa is an example of a true mother and artist who is highly dedicated to her family.

"Yes, I was just talking to my wife about how Mpok Alpa's struggle was diagnosed with illness but still tried to... this is an artist, a comedian, a very good mother, and a wife who, no matter how, will support later," he said.

Not only remembering the late figure, Narji's attention is also directed towards Mpok Alpa's husband, Ajie Darmaji, affectionately known as Bang Idunk. He hopes that his friend's husband is given strength and can be as resilient as Mpok Alpa in facing this trial.

"I am closer to her husband, yes, steadfast, strong, resilient, just like Mpok Alpa facing all of this. Insyaallah Bang Idunk is a father figure who can also replace the mother figure," he explained.

When met at the funeral home, Narji saw Mpok Alpa's husband trying to be strong in front of the mourners. However, as a fellow man, he could feel the deep sorrow that could not be hidden from the husband's face.

"Yes, I think he is trying to be strong, trying to be patient, but we can also see that the grief still feels deep, so I can feel how much he is missing her," he said.

The sudden departure of Mpok Alpa is certainly a heavy blow, especially for Bang Idunk, who now has to continue the struggle of raising their children. Narji understands well the burden and thoughts that the husband of the deceased is now carrying.

"Yes, a husband who suddenly loses his wife like this will feel very shocked, and as seen earlier, Bang Idunk has a lot on his mind regarding his children and other issues. I hope Bang Idunk remains strong; I believe he is a tough man," he said.

Seeing the many friends and relatives coming and going to pray is a sight that somewhat soothes the heart. Narji also believes that this is a reflection of the goodness of the deceased during her lifetime.

"Yes, hopefully, this is a reflection of the passing of a good person," he said.

Lastly, Narji offered his best prayers for his friend to find the most beautiful place by God's side. He also hopes that the children left behind can become strong individuals and continue their mother's goodness.

"May Mpok Alpa have a good ending, receive the best place from Allah SWT, and may her children continue the kindness that Mpok Alpa has done," he concluded.
