Narji Reveals Omas Never Ignored the Disease She Suffered During Her Lifetime

Kapanlagi.com - The death of senior comedian Omaswati left sorrow for many people, especially fellow comedians. One of them is Narji who visited the funeral home in Cimanggis, Depok, on Friday (17/7/2020).

To KapanLagi.com, Narji expressed his loss over the departure of Omas. The real name owner Sunarji Riski Radifan admitted to remembering memories together with the deceased during her lifetime.

"I feel deeply saddened by the loss. Because in the past, she was very kind when shooting with me. That's why today I have to see her for the last time. Alhamdulillah, I can see her condition. Remember when Mpok Omas was shooting," said Narji.

"She was a sincere person, even though she was a senior, she never got angry when she became the object of jokes. She never had any demands from juniors. Just play as it is," he added.

Narji also never forgets the advice he often receives from Omaswati. In Narji's eyes, Omas is someone who is very close to him.

"When we had a shoot in Cibubur, she was also there. But not in the same location. I remember clearly that when she called me, she would shout, 'Narjii!' But when she advised me, she would call me softly. 'Ji, don't forget to save money, buy land,' that's the advice from a Betawi person. That's what she reminded me. Especially when she had a busy shoot, she would invite her children as if they were already in-laws. Sometimes the neighbors would also come, it was lively," said Narji.

2. Never Complains

Throughout his acquaintance with Omas, Narji never saw the artist who popularized Lenong Betawi complain about the illness she suffered from.

"Before the PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions), we hadn't met for almost 6 months. Besides, when she was sick, she didn't complain. According to the neighbors, they just found out about her illness and didn't feel it," said Narji.

3. Don't Care About the Disease

As reported, Omas has been suffering from diabetes for a long time and is afraid to go to the doctor. Omas tends to ignore the disease he is suffering from.

"He just tells stories and laughs, has a big dog. If asked, how are you, mpok? Don't care," he recalled.

4. Prayers for the Deceased

Not forgetting, Narji also expressed his prayers for the late Omas. Although she has passed away before all of us, memories with Omas will continue to live in the hearts of all Indonesian people.

"My prayers, I express my condolences to the deceased and hope that she is given a spacious grave, forgiven for her sins, Mpok Omas' career will always be remembered," he said.
