Ncek Gaul Calls Bens Leo a Music Analyst Who Always Supports Young Musicians

Kapanlagi.com - Indonesian music observer, Bens Leo, passed away at Fatmawati Hospital on Monday (29/11/2021). The former Aktuil journalist took his last breath at 08.24 AM. It's not just musicians who feel the loss of Bens Leo.

But, friends also feel the loss of the man whose real name is Benediktus Hadi Utomo. One of them is Ryan Kampua, or better known as Ncek Gaul, a music observer who is also a senior journalist.

"I still remember how informative he was about (music) in the past. I really miss that. Local music was in him, music information was in him. So I feel a great loss, as a junior friend, I feel a great loss," said Ncek Gaul when contacted by a reporter on Monday (29/11/2021).

In the eyes of Ncek Gaul, Bens Leo is one of the music observers who always supports journalists and young musicians. In fact, he says that Bens Leo is not hesitant to share knowledge with his juniors.

"Firstly, he is a humble senior journalist and music observer. He always supports many young journalists for sure. He also shares a lot of knowledge with new journalist friends as well as young musicians, he is always welcoming," he said.

There is a most memorable moment for Ncek Gaul with Bens Leo, especially when he became the host of the Bisikan Rhoma program. Where Bens Leo discussed the presence of Rhoma Irama as a dangdut singer.

"When he became the host for Rhoma Irama, he talked about Rhoma Irama's presence in the dangdut music industry, it was in the Bisikan Rhoma program," he said.

Bens Leo was buried at TPU Menteng Pulo, South Jakarta. As a friend, Ncek Gaul does not forget to pray for the music observer who passed away at the age of 69.

"Yes, may his goodness and noble values as a music observer and senior journalist become an inspiration for future generations. Let us pray for his journey home," Ncek Gaul concluded.
