Kapanlagi.com - Yesterday afternoon (5/1/2024), a video of Saipul Jamil's arrest by the police circulated. The dangdut singer was apprehended on the Trans Jakarta route in the Jelambar area, West Jakarta.
After investigation, the arrest turned out to be related to a drug possession case involving Saipul's assistant named Steven Arthur Ristiandy. Meanwhile, based on the urine test results, Saipul was proven negative for the illegal substance.
"From the urine test for Mr. S, the result is positive for consuming crystal meth. As for Mr. SJ, the result is negative or not consuming narcotics," said the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol M Syahddudi in a press conference at the Tambora Police Station on Saturday (6/1/2024).

Because it has been proven that he did not use drugs, Saipul Jamil will be returned to his family. The former husband of Dewi Perssik will be released soon.
"Regarding brother SJ, because the result is negative for narcotics, we will return him to his family. Whether it's today or tomorrow, it's the technicality of the investigators," explained Kombes Pol M Syahddudi.
On that occasion, Kombes Pol M Syahddudi clarified the allegation of anarchy allegedly carried out by police officers. After crosschecking, the action was not carried out by members but by the public.
"So we have seen the video where someone is cursing and hitting. After crosschecking with the investigators at the crime scene, it was not our members. Because during the pursuit, the public took the initiative," said Kombes Pol M Syahddudi.
