Kapanlagi.com - Good news for anime lovers, especially Studio Ghibli films. According to Variety.com, streaming platform Netflix has officially acquired the broadcasting rights of Studio Ghibli. This is a proud achievement, considering that Studio Ghibli has always rejected the idea of screening their films on any digital platform.
In total, there are 21 Studio Ghibli films that viewers can enjoy on Netflix. Some of them are popular titles such as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, and the latest one, When Marnie Was There.
These films will be available for streaming on Netflix starting from February. However, it should be noted that Studio Ghibli films will only be available outside of the United States, Canada, and Japan.
Studio Ghibli producer, Toshio Suzuki, confirmed that they have made a deal with Netflix to stream Studio Ghibli films. According to him, this is a crucial step in introducing the Studio Ghibli world to a wider audience.
"In this day and age, there are many great ways for a film to reach its audience. We finally listened to the fans and made the crucial decision to stream our catalog online. We hope people all over the world can discover the Studio Ghibli world through this experience," said Toshio Suzuki, Studio Ghibli producer.

Meanwhile, Netflix is thrilled to finally strike a deal with Studio Ghibli. According to Aram Yacoubian, Netflix's director of original animation, Ghibli films have become legendary and beloved by millions of people worldwide.
"This is a dream come true for Netflix and our millions of members. Studio Ghibli's animated films have become legendary and loved by many fans worldwide for over 35 years. We are very excited and want to make their films accessible in various languages in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and all of Asia. Our hope is that people can join in and enjoy the amazing world of this animation," said Aram.
