Because of Differences of Opinion, One of Pablo Benua and Rey Utami's Legal Team Resigns

Kapanlagi.com - The Salted Fish Case is still ongoing. Now, in the middle of the trial, Pablo Benua and Rey Utami have to accept the resignation of one of their legal team members, namely Insank Nasrudin.

"Yes, starting today, on January 21, 2020, we, from the Insank Nasruddin & Co office, declare our resignation," said Insank Nasruddin when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday night (21/1).

1. Accompanied by Legal Team

Previously, Pablo was indeed accompanied by two legal teams. One from Insank Nasrudin's team, while the second from Rihat Hutabarat's team.

Now Pablo and Rey will only be accompanied by the legal team from Rihat Hutabarat's law firm. However, Insank considers the setback of his team to be no problem as it was done in a good manner.

2. Principle Differences

In addition, the reason for Insank's resignation is due to principle differences. Essentially, the difference in case handling strategies becomes the underlying reason for his decision.

"When we asked to resign as well, Pablo was somewhat surprised, but we believe this is for the common good. There are those who oppose or have pros and cons due to strategies, so it's better for us to step back. According to us, the difference in strategies is very significant because it has already been differentiated and is related to the core of the case," he said.

3. Reluctant to Speak

Indeed, Insank is reluctant to further discuss what kind of differences caused him and his team to withdraw as Pablo and Rey's legal counsel. He said his client was initially surprised by the decision.

“Yes, I was a little surprised by the withdrawal, but after a long conversation, I explained the reasons, so he could understand our reasons, and Pablo saw it was okay. We withdrew in a good way,” he concluded.
