Netizens Report Ustaz Solmed to the Directorate General of Taxes for Showing Off His Luxury House, Ustaz Solmed Emphasizes Tax Compliance

Kapanlagi.com - Ustaz Solmed has become a hot topic among netizens because he is often seen showing off his new luxurious house. Because of that, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) also commented on Ustaz Solmed's social media.

When asked about the expenses incurred, April Jasmine's wife did not disclose that tax payment is a personal matter that cannot be revealed to the public.

"Tax is a personal matter, it's privacy, a personal matter between individuals and the country, between companies and the country," said Ustaz Solmed when met in Tendean, South Jakarta, recently.

Although always receiving negative comments from netizens for always showing off luxury, but Ustaz Solmed himself admitted that he does not feel annoyed. On the contrary, this is an opportunity for him to become a tax ambassador.

"No (annoyed), if I'm happy, I think it's my chance to become a tax ambassador by providing information, not being promoted because on the tax account it says he is monitoring the account of wealthy people, so I immediately added," he said.

"I said it's wrong, not wealthy people, but all taxpayers must report their tax returns, they should provide education for all citizens. Because it is necessary, because this country is built with money, and taxes are very significant for the development of this nation and country," he added.

2. Always Compliant

Ustaz Solmed ensures that as an Indonesian citizen, he is compliant in tax matters. "I am grateful alhamdulillah that we live in Indonesia, of course, there are rights and obligations. So tax issues become obligations for every citizen, at least, as far as I know, for those who live in Indonesia," he said.

"Then for those who don't have a Tax Identification Number (NPWP), register your NPWP, for those who have income, report your tax returns, so that the country and this nation can continue to prosper, be happy, and even develop infrastructure, all of which are funded by taxes. So we all need to be aware of paying taxes," he concluded.
