Netizens Suspect Support for Anji, Rina Nose Speaks Out

Anji, who also stated that COVID-19 is not as scary as it is being exaggerated, revealed that he is not alone. There is a local celebrity with millions of followers on Instagram who shares the same thoughts with him.

Based on the number of followers and the similarity of the profile picture that is still visible in Anji's post, netizens concluded that the celebrity in question is Rina Nose. Because her name was dragged into it, this woman born in Bandung on January 16, 1984 finally spoke out.

Through Instagram story, Rina Nose revealed that she empathizes with those who are cornered by the public because she herself has been in the same position. Rina did not directly mention Anji's name or the topic of COVID-19 in her post.

"I always have empathy for people (whoever they are) who are cornered by public opinion blindly due to expressing a thought (which does not violate moral values or laws) in public space," wrote Rina Nose on Instagram story.

"Considering that I have had a bitter experience of 'mental oppression' by the public massively and continuously, so I understand very well what it feels like to be in that condition," she added.

2. Uncomfortable Being Labeled in Various Ways

Furthermore, Rina Nose emphasized that empathy does not mean fully agreeing with the owner of different opinions. She also regrets the actions of netizens who tend to categorize others based on their groups.

"If I express support for people who have experienced similar things, that is a form of empathy. It doesn't mean that I absolutely approve all of their behavior or thoughts," said Rina Nose.

"Because I don't like being put in boxes. I am uncomfortable with labels. These followers, those believers. Instead, I am open to various things and possibilities. Because there is nothing more eternal than change," she concluded.
