Nia Daniaty Cancels Attendance as Witness in Olivia Nathania's Trial, Here's the Reason

Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the alleged fraud case with the selection of Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) with defendant Olivia Nathania was held again at the South Jakarta District Court with the witness agenda from Olivia's side.

According to plan, the lawyers of the woman who is familiarly called Oi will bring 3 witnesses to lighten the defendant's sentence. Unfortunately, none of the three people attended the trial.

"We have tried our best but none of the honorable witnesses attended," said Andy Mulia Siregar, Oi's lawyer in the courtroom, on Thursday (10/3).

1. Nia Daniaty is Absent

One of the witnesses that Oi wanted to present is her own mother, Nia Daniaty. Unfortunately, Farhat Abbas's ex-wife was unable to attend due to illness.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Nia can't (attend). Because she's not feeling well," said Susanti Agustina, Oi's lawyer.

Therefore, the judges finally asked for permission to continue the trial with the examination of the defendant. Oi's side agreed with the judge's opinion and continued the trial.

As is known, Olivia Nathania and her husband, Rafly Novianto Tilaar, were reported for alleged fraud under the guise of CPNS recruitment on September 23, 2021. Oi was declared a suspect on November 11, 2021, after sufficient evidence was found.

3. Provide Inaccurate Information

The husband himself has the status of a witness because it has not been proven that he was involved in a case that has harmed around 225 people with a total loss of Rp 9.7 billion.

Olivia provided information that did not match the witness's statement. That's why the judge reprimanded her and asked her to be honest when answering the questions asked.

"Olivia, please be honest. If you're not honest, it will harm yourself," said the judge during the trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (10/3).

4. Reprimanded by the Judge

The judge's reprimand apparently did not make the woman, who is familiarly called Oi, open up. She claimed to have forgotten when asked about the details of the case, so Oi was considered uncooperative in revealing the facts of the trial.

"Forgetting is human, but don't cover up the facts," said the judge.
