Nia Daniaty's Daughter, Olivia Nathania Sentenced to Three Years in Prison for CPNS Fraud Case

Kapanlagi.com - Olivia Nathania alias Oi, the daughter of Nia Daniaty, has been sentenced to three years in prison. The South Jakarta District Court found Olivia guilty of criminal acts in the case of fraud in the guise of Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) acceptance. This sentence is lighter than the demand of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who demanded that Oi be sentenced to 3.5 years in prison.

"The South Jakarta District Court declares that Olivia Nathania is proven to have committed the crime of fraud with a prison sentence of three years," said the judges on Monday (28/3/2022).

In consideration, there are mitigating and aggravating factors for Olivia Nathania which resulted in a three-year prison sentence.

"Aggravating factors cause anxiety and distrust in the community towards relevant agencies," she said.

2. Admitting Guilt

Meanwhile, as a mitigating factor, Olivia Nathania is considered to have admitted to her actions during the trial. The judge also mentioned the actions of the victims who wanted to bypass the selection process for civil servants as another consideration.

"The mitigating factor is that the defendant honestly admitted, regretted her actions, and promised not to repeat them," said the Panel of Judges.

As is known, Olivia Nathania, the daughter of Nia Daniaty, was reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for alleged fraud in the selection process for Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS). The victims of Olivia's fraud reached 225 people with losses amounting to IDR 9.7 billion.

It is known that the 225 victims have not yet been granted CPNS status, despite Olivia Nathania promising them SK and NIK appointments. To date, the case has been elevated from an investigation to a criminal investigation. Moreover, Nia Daniaty's daughter has been detained at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Detention Center.
