Nia Ramadhani and Ardi Bakrie Declared as Suspects in Drug Case, Here's the Chronology of their Arrest

Kapanlagi.com - Ramadhania Ardiansyah or familiarly known as Nia Ramadhani and her husband, Anindra Ardiansyah Bakrie, were arrested by the Narcotics Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police. After undergoing questioning, both of them were declared as suspects.

"They have been declared as suspects," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, during a press conference at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday (8/7/2021).

1. The Driver's Confession

The arrest of Nia Ramadhani started from a report from an informant that the artist often consumed methamphetamine. After investigation, the Narcotics Unit of the Central Jakarta Metro Police apprehended Nia's driver in front of her residence with evidence of one packet of drugs.

"Yesterday around nine in the morning, the Central Jakarta Police received information that sister RA often uses methamphetamine. She resides in Pondok Pinang. After conducting surveillance, brother ZN, who is a driver and a family assistant at RA and AAB's house, was successfully apprehended," said Yusri.

During interrogation, the driver admitted that the illicit substance would be consumed together with Nia and Ardi. "After that, a search was conducted on ZN, and one packet of methamphetamine was found. Then further interrogation was conducted, and he admitted that the item belonged to RA. That's his confession," he added.

2. Nia Ramadhani's House Searched

After obtaining the driver's confession, the police immediately searched Nia Ramadhani's house. Evidence in the form of a bong was found there. Nia admitted to frequently consuming it with her husband.

"Then we conducted a search at sister RA's house and found a bong during the search. From there, further investigation was conducted and RA admitted that her husband also used the methamphetamine, using it together. There was none at the crime scene, so ZN and RA were taken to the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police," Yusri explained.

3. Ardi Bakrie Surrenders

After Nia Ramadhani was apprehended, Ardi Bakrie turned himself in on Wednesday evening. After undergoing a urine test, all three individuals tested positive for methamphetamine.

"After RA contacted her husband, in the afternoon or after Isha prayer at 8.00 PM, AAB came to the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police to turn himself in. Then, a test was conducted for the three individuals. From the urine test, all three were found positive for methamphetamine," Yusri added.
