Nikita Mirzani Admits Feeling Inhuman While Undergoing Self-Quarantine at a Hotel in Jakarta, Why?

After vacationing in Turkey for a week, the film star and presenter Nikita Mirzani had to undergo self-quarantine after returning to the homeland. But before that, the woman affectionately called Niki received a Direct Message (DM) on Instagram from a netizen who shared their quarantine experience, and this certainly made Niki uneasy.

What's the story? Find out more here.

When met in the Ciledug area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (27/7), Niki mentioned that the content of the DMs she received from netizens informed her that Nikita Mirzani had to undergo quarantine upon returning to Indonesia.

Nikita Mirzani actually already knew that after returning from abroad, she couldn't immediately go back home but had to quarantine first, because that was indeed the government's regulation.

"No one said they didn't want to be quarantined. But I have never experienced what they have experienced, when I returned from Turkey, it turns out I felt the same thing as some netizens who DM me that I don't know," said Nikita Mirzani.

Niki also shared how she experienced a similar thing to what a netizen felt, as if not being treated like a human during quarantine.

During the eight days of quarantine in a hotel in the SCBD area, South Jakarta, the 35-year-old woman felt dehumanized because the alleged damaged hotel room facilities made the widow of three children very angry and upset during the quarantine.

"It's the same thing, but I only voiced it on Instagram. Even big celebrities get mistreated, let alone ordinary people. So the window couldn't be opened. You feel suffocated, smelly, and everything. Eight days inside without being able to go anywhere, the bedsheet wasn't changed, not cleaned, the towel wasn't replaced," she explained.

"So it's as if those in quarantine are infected with COVID. They can't differentiate between who has COVID and who doesn't. That's what the Government should think about now," added the woman named Nikita Mirzani Mawardi.

However, Niki admitted that she and five of her friends who went to Turkey had already undergone PCR tests conducted by the Covid-19 Task Force, and the results were negative. She did not intend to defame the hotel and the Government, but Nikita Mirzani requested that her complaint and the complaints of other people be taken as lessons and evaluations for the future.

"It's not about suspicion, but let's treat humans as humans because those in quarantine are humans, not dolls," she said.
