Nikita Mirzani Withdraws Lawsuit of Rp100 Billion, Legal Counsel Reveals Reasons to Focus on Criminal Case

Kapanlagi.com - Nikita Mirzani has finally taken a decisive step regarding the breach of contract lawsuit worth Rp100 billion that she filed. Through her legal counsel, the lawsuit against beauty doctor Reza Gladys was officially withdrawn at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (21/7/2025).

This decision immediately sparked speculation among the public, particularly the controversial issue suggesting that the withdrawal was due to Nikita's side lacking evidence. However, her lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, denied that accusation and stated that there are other, more crucial reasons.

"Not because of a lack of evidence, this is a matter of priority scale. So let us focus fully on the criminal case," said Fahmi Bachmid at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (21/7/2025).

Furthermore, Fahmi emphasized that this request came directly from Nikita Mirzani herself, who is currently in detention. The artist, commonly known as Nyai, is said to have signed the withdrawal letter after a long discussion with her legal team.

"She requested it, she signed it. We discussed, 'Nik, this is after the interim decision (in the criminal case),' I said yes. After the interim decision, the next hearing will be the witness examination. Well, this witness examination is also at the South Jakarta District Court," he explained.

3. Concerns of the Legal Team

The biggest concern of the legal team is if they have to handle two major cases in the same court in close proximity. The potential for overlapping schedules between civil and criminal cases is deemed very troublesome and will divide their concentration.

"There is also a breach of contract case in South Jakarta. If suddenly the trials are concurrent, we will be overwhelmed. In times like this, the most important thing in this case is how we defend and accompany Nikita in her criminal case," said Fahmi.

Although the hearing for the withdrawal determination is only being held today, Fahmi stated that the administrative process has been completed since last week. He explained that the withdrawal letter has been officially registered to demonstrate the seriousness of this action.

"It’s official. So, administratively, I have submitted the withdrawal at PTSP dated July 14. Yes, even though the hearing is on the 21st," she concluded.
