Nikita Mirzani's Side Requests Judge's Permission to Leave Detention for Mediation with Reza Gladys

A new chapter in the fierce feud between Nikita Mirzani and Reza Gladys has resurfaced at the South Jakarta District Court. The civil lawsuit worth Rp 244 billion filed by Nikita is now entering the mediation stage. However, this process faces a major challenge: Nikita's current status being in detention.

In response to this, Nikita Mirzani's legal team has stated that they will fight for their client to be present in person during the mediation process. According to them, the presence of the principal party is a legal obligation that cannot be represented.

Nikita's attorney, Marulitua Sianturi, explained that the decision in mediation must be made directly by Nikita and Reza Gladys, not by the lawyers.

"To present the principals, it is indeed the obligation of each party in the mediation process. Because in mediation, the decision-makers are the principals, not the attorneys. That is the legal rule," he said at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (22/10/2025).

However, he realized that to be able to present Nikita, they would need special permission from the panel of judges handling her criminal case.

"Certainly, because Nikita Mirzani is in the position of a defendant in custody, there must be a request for approval from the panel, whether it is granted or not," said Marulitua.

His side also plans to soon submit an official request letter to the judge. "Yes, of course. We will file a request if our principal is indeed very much needed to find a solution in the mediation process," he said.

As is known, this civil lawsuit is a 'counterattack' from Nikita after she was reported by Reza Gladys for alleged extortion and money laundering, which has now led her to be detained.

On the other hand, Marulitua also warned Reza Gladys's side. According to him, Reza's presence in the mediation is also a necessity. If he does not attend without a valid reason, it could be considered bad faith.

"Yes, must be present (Reza Gladys). Because there are legal consequences if the principal does not attend the mediation process," he asserted. Now, the ball is in the court of the Judges, will they grant permission?
