No Appeal, Vanessa Angel Ready to Live in Prison

Kapanlagi.com - The defendant in the drug abuse case, Vanessa Angel, did not file an appeal against the decision of the West Jakarta District Court. This was revealed by the lawyer who assisted Vanessa Angel's legal case, Arjana Bagaskara.

"The latest information is that she didn't appeal. So she accepts the judge's decision. But I can't say much because Vanessa is no longer my client," said Arjana Bagaskara when contacted on Thursday (11/12/2020).

1. Already Prepared Mentally

According to Arjana, Vanessa Angel is ready to undergo the remaining period of detention at the Detention Center or Correctional Institution designated by the West Jakarta District Court. As is known, since becoming a suspect and defendant, Vanessa Angel has been serving city detention.

"Yes, she has prepared herself mentally. She has prepared everything, just needs to go through it," said Arjana.

2. Transferred Tomorrow

If the Public Prosecutor does not file an appeal, it is certain that Vanessa Angel will soon be occupying the detention center. "It should be tomorrow (transferred). Because today is the deadline for the final decision on whether to appeal or not," said Arjana.

Vanessa Angel was found guilty of violating Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 regarding the possession of Xanax. Vanessa was sentenced to 3 months in prison and a fine of IDR 10 million, or alternatively, 1 month in prison.
