Not Accepting the Death of a Brother-in-Law, Edo Kondologit Takes Firm Steps Regarding Allegations of Assault

To KapanLagi.com, Edo Kondologit stated that he will take this case to the legal route and hold a demonstration at the Sorong Police Resort. The family also filed an official complaint so that this fatal assault case can be investigated according to the applicable law.

"We will take the legal route, today we will lead a demonstration. After that, the family will file an official complaint to the National Police Chief to demand proper prosecution. Those who are guilty must be properly punished, this is a country of law, not a barbaric country," said Edo Kondologit when contacted by phone on Monday (31/8/2020).

"We will demonstrate at the Sorong Police Resort because we have the right to demand justice," he added.

In addition to allegations of assault resulting in Riko's death, Edo Kondologit is also investigating the circulation of alcoholic beverages in Sorong. Claiming to have valid evidence, Edo Kondologit plans to thoroughly expose the misbehavior of certain police personnel.

"Yes, demanding justice and requesting that the perpetrators be properly processed under the law. And this is the consequence of alcoholic beverages being allowed to circulate with the support of the Police. In Sorong, the circulation of alcoholic beverages is supported by the police. We want to convey this so that it can be processed," he said.

Furthermore, Edo Kondologit revealed that the circulation of illegal alcoholic beverages is also still related to the death of his brother-in-law. He hopes that this long-standing case that has troubled the residents can be thoroughly investigated according to the law.

"Yes. We will do that so that it can be thoroughly and properly investigated, and it can be legally stated that they are the ones who committed the assault. Let's really eradicate this alcoholic beverage because there are indications that the alcoholic beverages circulating in the place where this child died, this child lived on Doom Island, a small island, with police backing," said Edo Kondologit.

3. Contact Police Officials

The legal process taken by Edo Kondologit has started to be implemented. Individuals involved in the assault case and the distribution of alcoholic beverages are now being examined by the West Papua Propam team.

"Done. I contacted the Deputy Chief of Police directly and he sent them to be examined now. They are currently being processed. After that, we will go there to deliver an official letter, present our version of the chronology, and present all the facts to the Chief of Police. In the future, we will also present it to the National Police Chief because we hope that the police will uphold justice, not torture and slaughter the community," he concluded.
