Not Accepting Yadi Sembako Called Doing Fraud and Embezzlement, Gus Anom: This is Only a Delayed Payment Issue

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Yadi Sembako reported to the South Tangerang Police regarding allegations of fraud and embezzlement. The report was filed by a man named Muhammad Adri Permana, a vendor who claimed to have received an empty check after handling the PT Gudang Artis public event where Yadi acted as the director.

Gus Anom, as a commissioner in the company, also spoke up because his name was mentioned by Adri. Representing the board of directors, he cannot accept it if Yadi is accused of fraud.

"So from the beginning, we have discussed that the check is still empty because there is no money yet (from the investor). As a solution, after discussing with the family, a car worth Rp 50 million was guaranteed. We made a mistake because we didn't have money, but the fact is we used the car as collateral," explained Gus Anom in a press conference in the Sudirman area, Central Jakarta, Monday (9/10/2023).

1. Make Cars as Collateral

Gus Anom also played with logic, if his company is committing fraud, what's the point of having collateral? The collateral is a good intention before the payment is settled.

"We use the car as collateral there, that's our good intention, so where is the fraud? In this case, there is no fraud, embezzlement. It's just a matter of delayed payment," Gus Anom emphasized.

2. Yadi Sembako's Name Cleared

Furthermore, Gus Anom wants the issue to end peacefully and asks the complainant to apologize for accusing Yadi Sembako of fraud and embezzlement. Once it is done, the company will immediately settle its obligations.

"I request to clear Yadi's name. From the beginning, we intended to pay, but if there are obstacles with investors, it's okay, I will handle it, but on the condition that I don't accept the word fraud," Gus Anom concluded.
