The habit of hunting for takjil is usually done in the afternoon before breaking the fast. Foods or takjil such as cendol, kolak, es campur become the favorite menu when breaking the fast.
However, for Nindy Ayunda, takjil is not her choice. When it's time to break the fast, Nindy prefers to eat 'Onde onde Padang' or kelepon.
For Nindy, eating kelepon will give a special atmosphere, especially during breaking the fast. "If it's me, I usually eat kelepon, because in Sumatra (Padang) we call it onde onde, but here it's called kelepon, so I look for kelepon," said Nindy Ayunda when met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, recently.
"Usually, when I look for kelepon, I want a lot of sugar syrup, so when I eat it, it splatters," she continued.
Although she often buys takjil, Nindy also often cooks takjil herself for breaking the fast. She said that the filled tofu she makes is a favorite for children, both when breaking the fast and for suhoor.
"I just mix it, sometimes buy sometimes cook especially takjil buy but usually the one I make is stuffed tofu. Well, I make it myself because the kids like it," she said.
In addition, when asked further, Nindy explained that there are other habits she misses during the holy month of Ramadan. Moments of waiting for suhoor, imsak, and fajr prayer are apparently missed by this 35-year-old woman.
"What else, tarawih prayer and waiting for suhoor, when before waiting for suhoor the children were still young, now they are grown up, so it feels different," she concluded.
