Before facing the pain of her husband's death, Najwa Shihab had actually experienced deep heartbreak due to the loss of her daughter named Namiya.

This was revealed during a chat with Daniel Mananta on the former MTV VJ's podcast. "It was very difficult pregnancy. I tried really hard," she said (3/6/2023).

Najwa admitted that she is the type of person who has to strive for everything to the maximum, especially to ensure her child is born safely. "The main thing is it has to be safe. Namiya has to live. So I'll do anything. This child has to be born," she asserted.

"So I did everything. I negotiated with God, made vows and all sorts of things, that if Namiya was born and safe, I would do this and that. And every day my promises and vows increased. Every time my amniotic fluid came out, my debt to God increased," she continued with tear-filled eyes.

"But God's plan is different. So Namiya was born, I got to hear her cry, I got to see her, she's really beautiful, Namiya, really beautiful. Then, she lived for 4 hours, then passed away," he said before falling silent.

"And it turns out that no matter how stubborn you are, if it can't be done, it can't be done," Najwa said with a trembling voice. She revealed that the doctor said that medically, a baby born at 7 months should be able to breathe on its own and its lungs should be strong enough.

"But even though Namiya only lived for 4 hours, we fall in love with our child since we know we are pregnant. Whether it's for 4 hours, whether it's a miscarriage, or one we didn't get to see the body of, the pain is the same in my opinion," she said, leaving a sad impression.
