Not Proven Guilty, Singer Lea Alfara Acquitted

This was greeted with joy by Lea Elfara and her legal counsel, Runik Erwanto, SH., MH., CLA.

"With this not guilty verdict, it is clear that our client has not been proven guilty of the criminal charges of fraud or embezzlement, because the funds in question were purely "aid" for the propagation of Islam, which should be given sincerely without any negative intentions or motives behind the aid, so that it becomes an extraordinary reward," said Runik Erwanto.

1. Acquitted

Meanwhile, Lea Elfara stated that her acquittal is the answer to her prayers that she has always been constantly praying for.

"Throughout the legal process, I have been praying for justice and surrendering to Allah SWT and His predetermined fate that I have to go through. But I believe that I am innocent and Allah will surely be on my side. I am just a person who feels trapped and oppressed. I never had any intention to commit a criminal act and I swear to Allah that I never spread slander against anyone as accused of me. Instead, I am the one who feels "slandered" and "defamed" with those accusations. And finally, it is proven in the trial's outcome that what has been decided by the honorable judges is justice for me, I am declared not guilty in terms of criminal charges and free from any demands or punishments. Alhamdulillah, it turns out that there are still fair judges on this earth," she said.

2. Reported Allegations of Embezzlement

This case began when Lea Elfara was reported to the police by entrepreneur Puspo Wardoyo. Lea Elfara was reported for allegations of embezzlement and fraud amounting to Rp1 billion.
