Behind her decision to take a break from the entertainment world, Nita Thalia actually experienced health issues. She revealed that a few years ago she was diagnosed with a brain nerve disorder. Although it was quite concerning, she now assures that her condition has fully recovered.

"That illness was a long time ago, so I have fully recovered now, thank God, one hundred percent. I have been active again, I have taken off-air gigs as well. It’s just that I’m being selective about the events," explained Nita when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Monday (4/8/2025). Let’s check it out! If not now, when?

This health issue did not come suddenly, but rather started with persistent headaches. When she felt that she wasn’t getting better, she decided to undergo further examinations. The results showed that she had a disorder in the brain nerves.

During the hiatus, Nita spent more time undergoing treatment. She admitted that she wasn't really absent for a long time, but rather just about a year to focus on healing. The treatment place was chosen abroad to get the best possible care.

While abroad, Nita maintained her relationship with her family in Indonesia, especially her children. She didn't stay permanently in Singapore because she still returned home every two weeks. Communication was kept up through video calls so that the children wouldn't feel lost.

"With the kids, it was just normal when I was there because there was also family waiting. It was just usual video calls since I wasn't staying there permanently," she explained.

The treatment process lasted for a year, and now she feels completely healthy. There are no more complaints like before, and she no longer needs to take medication. She mentioned that the healing period occurred about five years ago.

"Every two weeks I would go back to Indonesia, only one year there and alhamdulillah I am healed. It has been five years now. I am 100 percent healed, I no longer take medication. I feel very healthy," said Nita.

The decision to seek treatment abroad was made because she felt that the facilities there could provide more precise care. She is grateful that her illness was detected early, allowing her healing process to be effective.
